Baltic Sauna
927 Brookgreen Dr, Cary, NC
Baltic Sauna is a private wood-burning sauna tucked into a backyard on Brookgreen Drive in Cary, hand-built in natural wood to recreate the sauna culture of Northern Europe. It has two rooms, a log-fired hot room that seats about four comfortably (up to six) and a warmer anteroom for changing and cooling, and outside there is a gazebo with dining space, an Ember Lounge around a fire pit, a cold plunge and a pull-rope cold bucket with an outdoor shower. Every booking is the whole place for three hours, so it is built for couples, birthdays and small groups rather than solo drop-ins. Packages run from $299 for two guests (the Duo Escape) to $399 for four, $499 for six, $599 for eight and $695 for eight to ten, with bigger groups rotating through the hot room. The sauna is pre-heated for your slot, and towels, sauna hats, water, essential oils, fresh fruit and a full walkthrough are included; venik whisks are $30 each and a Big Green Egg smoker is available for an extra fee. Bring a swimsuit, sandals and a water bottle, and park on the street; cancellations three or more days out are refunded in full. It is about as close to a Baltic pirts as you will find in the Triangle: real fire, real steam from the ladle, whisks if you want them, and nobody else on the property.
