Bull City Soles is a North Durham bodywork studio on Guess Road, just north of I-85 and across from Guess Road Baptist Church, best known for Ashiatsu barefoot massage and as the Durham campus of the Center for Barefoot Massage. Alongside massage, Thai bodywork and Rolfing it runs a small private recovery setup: a Radiant Health infrared corner sauna for one or two people that reaches about 149°F, and a cold plunge. Everything is by appointment through Vagaro, Monday to Saturday. A 15-minute cold-plunge-only slot is $25, a 30-minute sauna-and-plunge contrast session is $40, and 60 minutes is $80 (typically 20-25 minutes of infrared heat, then the plunge, finishing cold), with 12- and 20-visit packages and an unlimited membership also offered. Booking contrast on the same day as a massage takes $10 off. There is no shower on site, so bring a towel, a bag for your wet swimsuit and something warm for afterwards. First-time clients pay a 50% deposit and fill in an intake form, and late cancellations (under 24 hours) are charged in full. It is a quiet, clinical-leaning spot rather than a social bathhouse, best for people who want heat and cold as part of a massage or pain-relief routine, or a cheap, private way to try contrast therapy with a friend.
