Cold Plunge Coffee

457 E 300 S, Suite D, Salt Lake City, UT

Cold Plunge Coffee is a specialty coffee shop in downtown Salt Lake City with a contrast therapy room behind the bar. It has commercial BlueCube plunge tubs held between 38°F and 56°F and a Finnish cedar sauna with aromatherapy that runs at 190-200°F. You can order an espresso or cold brew up front, then head back for a plunge. It works well for first-timers and regulars alike. A common round is a short plunge, 7 to 12 minutes in the sauna, then a final plunge, and most people stay in the cold for one to four minutes. A full day pass costs $35 and includes plunge and sauna access. There are also 5-, 10- and 20-visit packs, plus monthly memberships that come with coffee, from 4 visits a month up to unlimited "Dip and Drip" access with a drink every day. Bring swimwear, sign a waiver on your first visit, and use the free parking behind the shop. Founder Caleb Fritz began the concept as a pop-up in Seattle before opening this storefront, which bills itself as the world's first cold bath cafe. It opened in March 2025 with help from a Salt Lake City economic development loan, and the goal is to make cold plunging an easy part of a regular coffee run.
