Float Edwardsville

224 S Buchanan St, Edwardsville, IL

Float Edwardsville is a small, house-like float and sauna studio a block off Main Street in downtown Edwardsville, on the Illinois side of the St. Louis metro. Its centerpiece is one of the largest float tanks in the country, roomy enough for a couple and holding about 1,500 pounds of Epsom salt, and next to it is a private infrared sauna that warms your body directly rather than heating the air around you. Every session is a private booking, which makes it an easy first step for anyone curious about heat therapy without a crowd. The studio's signature pairing is 30 minutes in the infrared sauna followed by a 60-minute float, $95 for one person or $135 for two; standalone sauna prices are set at booking. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap and earplugs are provided, so you can come as you are, and contact lenses should come out before you float. It opens Wednesday through Sunday, with evening hours until 9 p.m. midweek. Under its current owners the studio has built up a massage menu, from deep tissue and CBD work to Pranic Healing, with one therapist who also works with people in active cancer treatment, and a loyalty program that earns free float and sauna sessions.
