Float SNJ
27 N Maple Ave #1, Marlton, NJ
Float SNJ opened on North Maple Avenue in Marlton in 2013 as South Jersey's first float center, with five sensory-deprivation pools custom-built by founder Tom Bazis, and it has since added a quiet contrast-therapy suite. The heat is infrared: a two-person Sunlighten cabin in a private room that also holds a 5-by-3-foot cold plunge tub kept around 55°F, a Swiss cold shower and a regular warm shower, plus a single Clearlight full-spectrum sauna with red light that is reserved for guests warming up before a float. Philadelphia magazine puts the saunas at up to about 165°F. Everything is booked by the appointment, so the room is yours alone or shared with one other person. A 30-minute sauna-and-plunge window is $49 for one, a 60-minute window is $65 for one or two, and five 30-minute sessions are $175; sauna-only is $29 for 30 minutes or $49 for an hour, and a plunge on its own is $20 for a 10-minute slot (no sauna access with that one). Unlimited monthly plans run $149 for sauna, $125 for plunge (shareable with up to three guests) and $195 for sauna and plunge together, individual or couples. Towels, wraps, toiletries and purified water are provided; the spa suggests one to three minutes in the plunge for beginners and three to six for regulars. The draw is pairing the heat and cold with the float pools: book a pre-float sauna, plunge, then lie in warm Epsom water under blue and purple LEDs, an easy circuit for a first-timer or a quiet date night outside Philadelphia.
