Float Spa Raleigh North is a locally owned float and recovery spa on Falls of Neuse Road in North Raleigh. Alongside its float rooms, massage and HydraFacials, it runs Fire & Ice: private luxury suites that each hold a Finnish-style sauna, a cold plunge tub and a private shower, so you can cycle hot and cold at your own pace with nobody else in the room. Contrast sessions are $45 for 30 minutes or $79 for 60, and a second person can join for $25, which makes it an easy date or friend outing. Regulars can join a contrast membership (from $60 a month for one 60-minute session up to $299 for as many as 20), or a Float, Fire and Ice plan that bundles a float and a contrast session from $120 a month; most plans carry a three-month commitment and can be shared. Floats are $89 for an hour in Wave Rooms rather than closed pods, and a deluxe float room suits couples or guests who need more space. Book online through Mangomint; the spa is closed Tuesdays. Owners Sean and Lizzy opened it after floating pulled them out of a burnt-out stretch of three kids under four and a restaurant through the pandemic, and they pitch the place as a reset for the nervous system rather than a fitness stop.
