Fusion Spa & Resort is a 29,000-square-foot bathhouse in the Somerton section of Northeast Philadelphia that quietly opened just before Christmas 2025, built in the European and Eastern European mold of an all-day thermal resort. The heat list is long: a cedar-and-oak Finnish aroma sauna, a panoramic dry Finnish sauna, a humid traditional banya, a marble Turkish hammam, an aromatherapy steam room, a red-light infrared sauna and a Japanese ganbanyoku room with heated stone beds. For the cold side there is an indoor plunge pool beside the Jacuzzi, a snow room, and on the year-round outdoor terrace a 'cold silk' bath fizzing with oxygen micro-bubbles next to a warm carbon-dioxide pool and a hot tub. A long heated indoor pool and a pink Himalayan salt room round it out. Passes are booked for a reserved arrival time and cover up to five hours, with extra hours at $15. Weekday passes start around $55 for the women's side and $65 for the men's, weekends around $75-85 (higher at peak), and a weekday early-bird entry between 10 and 11:30 a.m. is $65; walk-ins are not guaranteed because each hour is capped at roughly 25 women and 15 men. Robes, towels, lockers and toiletries are included, slippers are sold at check-in, swimwear is expected in the shared areas, and phones are banned everywhere except the restaurant. Guests 16 and 17 must stay with a parent or guardian. Go early in the week: by mid-afternoon on weekdays, and all day Fridays, it fills up. The restaurant is a destination of its own, with marble floors, chandeliers, a fireplace and private dining cabanas serving everything from eggs Benedict and red borscht to sushi and branzino, plus cocktails and zero-proof drinks. Massages, scrubs and facials each come with a complimentary spa pass, and all-day VIP packages run from $450.
