Glow SLC
730 W 900 S, Salt Lake City, UT
Glow SLC is a co-ed bathhouse in the Poplar Grove neighborhood, across the street from the Summum Pyramid. Its suggested ritual has four steps: cleanse in the shower, heat up in the cedar sauna or steam room, cool off in the cold plunge or rain shower, then finish in the warm pool. The building also has a lounge, an outdoor patio, a movement studio and treatment rooms for massage, body scrubs and warm-water bodywork. A bathhouse visit is a two-hour block for $45. Packs of 5 and 10 visits are available, and monthly memberships run from four visits a month up to unlimited at $249, with a cheaper weekday-daytime option. Swimsuits are required everywhere outside the locker rooms, guests must be 18 or older, and phones stay in the locker. Towels, slippers, toiletries and combination lockers are provided. Reservations through the website are strongly recommended because evenings and weekends fill up. Women-only hours are Wednesday 9am to noon and men-only hours are Thursday 6 to 7am. Glow opened in August 2024 after more than two years of planning and building. The owners say their co-ed model draws on konyoku, the Japanese tradition of mixed bathing, and they ask guests to keep their voices low so the space stays social but calm. Yoga, breathwork and sound classes in the studio next door make it easy to pair a class with a soak.
