Holiday Salon & Bathhouse
747 Douglas Ave Suite 106, Nashville, TN
Holiday Salon & Bathhouse is a Finnish-inspired, minimalist bathhouse tucked into a century-old factory building on Douglas Avenue in East Nashville, opened in July 2020 by Tennessee-born hairstylist Melody Geer after years soaking in Oregon's hot springs and urban bathhouses. The bathhouse proper is a candlelit, natural-light-filled suite of rooms: a cedar Himalayan salt sauna, a steam room, a big 104°F saltwater soaking pool, a cold plunge shower for the rinse-down between rounds, and locker rooms, all rented privately so your group has the entire space to itself. A second, smaller Soak & Sauna room sits apart from it with a far-infrared sauna, an eight-jet whirlpool tub and a shower, built for one person or a couple. The bathhouse is booked by the hour for 1 to 10 guests, 18 and over, by phone only: on weekdays an hour is $125 for up to two people plus $30 per extra guest, and two hours are $250 plus $50 per extra guest; weekends are two-hour sessions only. The Soak & Sauna room is $65 for an hour or $85 for ninety minutes for up to two. Groups of five or more book after 6 p.m. or on Sundays; smaller groups can slot in during salon hours. Suits are optional (the hallway to the treatment rooms is partly open block, so dress to your comfort), towels and filtered water are provided, sandals are not, and swimsuits are sold at the desk if you forgot one. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice. It doubles as a full salon and spa, so a soak can bookend a haircut, facial or massage, and it has become East Nashville's go-to for bachelorette groups, anniversaries and friend outings; reviewers consistently call out the serene, spotless rooms and the warm front desk. Note that the cold side here is a plunge shower, not a tub, so bring a cold-plunge expectation calibrated accordingly.
