Hot House is a private bathhouse on Pierpont Avenue in downtown Salt Lake City. Each booking gets its own room with a Clearlight full-spectrum infrared sauna, a red light tower and an enclosed steam room and shower. Step outside and there's a covered courtyard with cold plunges held between 40 and 50°F, an outdoor hot tub and lounge seating. For a bigger group you can add a private outdoor sauna room with a bench that folds out into a chaise. Everything runs by appointment, so you won't share your room with strangers. A 60-minute session with the full circuit of infrared, steam, cold plunge and hot tub costs $55, and a 90-minute session costs $70. Rooms take one to three people, and the outdoor sauna package takes up to five. If you want to skip the courtyard, there's a cheaper infrared-and-steam-only option, and you can add salt therapy for $5. Swimsuits are optional in your room but required in the shared plunges and hot tub. Towels, slippers, tea and alkaline water are included. It's a good fit for couples or a couple of friends who want to do a full hot and cold cycle in private, without a gym membership or a big spa day. The studio also runs Sunday yoga and sauna sessions and hosts private group events.
