Löyly Nordic Spa's Fort Union location sits in the Shops at Fort Union in Midvale, just north of Momentum Climbing and Dick's Sporting Goods. It follows the same Finnish setup as the downtown spa: a social sauna where talking is welcome, a silent sauna for quiet, and kiuas stoves you are encouraged to throw water on, with temperatures around 190 to 200°F. Individual cold plunge tubs are set at 41, 46, 51 and 56°F and use UV-C and ozone instead of chlorine. You can walk in any time during open hours with no reservation and no time limit. Swimsuits are required in the co-ed areas. A day pass is $30, and memberships start at $45 a month with an annual fee, or you can pay more for a pass that covers every Löyly location. Guests 16 and older can come on their own, and 12 to 15 year olds can come with a parent. What sets this location apart is Löyly Littles, an on-site childcare room for kids from 3 months to 11 years, so parents can book 30 to 90 minutes of sauna time while staying in the building. Drop-in childcare costs a few dollars a visit, and you reserve it up to two weeks ahead.
