Lume is a River North wellness and aesthetics clinic, on the ground floor of Orleans Plaza at Hubbard and Orleans, that happens to run some of the nicest private infrared sauna suites downtown. The heat is one modality among many here: whole-body cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen, IV and NAD+ drips, lymphatic compression, massage and a full menu of medical aesthetics share the same calm, spa-like floor, and most guests stack two or three in a visit. A sauna session is 50 minutes in your own suite with a full shower and amenities; add red light therapy, or bring a friend for a small add-on. Cryotherapy is a five-minute chamber session usually paired with the sauna for a quick contrast. Pricing is quoted through the booking system rather than published, and packages and memberships are available; everything is appointment-only, booked online or by phone. Open 9 to 7 on weekdays (9 to 6 Friday through Sunday). With more than 450 five-star Google reviews, Lume is the polished, clinical end of Chicago's sauna scene: no communal sauna floor or cold plunge, but a very good private sweat for anyone already in River North for the rest of its menu.
