Pause Studio Green Hills
3822 Bedford Ave, Nashville, TN
Pause Studio Green Hills is the first Tennessee outpost of the Venice Beach-born recovery brand, opened in late 2024 on Bedford Avenue behind the Mall at Green Hills and run by Nashville father-and-son owners Mike and Zach Bailey. The room is soft white walls, rich wood saunas and low light, and the format is entirely private: contrast suites built for two to four people, each with a full-spectrum infrared sauna that climbs to about 158°F, a cold plunge held around 45-48°F right beside it, and an en-suite shower with Le Labo products. Around the suites sit float tanks, a whole-body cryotherapy chamber, an LED red light bed, Normatec compression and an IV lounge staffed by nurses, so a contrast session can be the centerpiece of a longer recovery visit. Pause sells everything in credits: a 60-minute contrast session is 6 credits (30 minutes is 4), a sauna-only hour is 4, a float is 3, and cryotherapy, the LED light bed and compression are 1 each. Memberships run Core ($149 a month, 12 credits), Signature ($239, 22), Premium ($339, 34) and VIP ($449, 50), all with 25% off à la carte services and a sauna or contrast guest pass or two each month; a Plus One can share a Signature or higher plan for $49. Credits bought at one Nashville studio work at the other. First-timers get 30% off a first service, walk-ins are welcome but booking ahead through the Pause app is wiser, and ages 16-17 can use the suites with a parent's written consent. It suits the Green Hills, Belle Meade and Forest Hills crowd looking for a quiet, guided hour rather than a social sauna: a staff member walks first-timers through the hot-cold-rest cycle, the suites have timers for breathwork, and reviewers mostly mention the cleanliness, the staff and how calm they felt walking out.
