Pūr Sweat Infrared Sauna Studio

Pūr Sweat is a small, private infrared sauna studio on Watson Road in Crestwood. You book the room, lock the door and have a three-seat infrared sauna to yourself for 40 minutes, with chromotherapy lighting you can set by mood and a choice of meditative music, something upbeat or silence. The temperature is yours to adjust, from about 125 to 140°F. The studio also runs an Original SALT Booth for halotherapy. A single session is $40, bringing a friend is $50, a 4-pack is $120, and a week pass of four sessions in seven days is $80. The $25-a-month Sweat Club includes one session a month, with rollover, sharing allowed, extra sessions at $25 and no sign-up or cancellation fees. Sessions start on the hour, through MindBody. Bring swimwear (or just use the towel), loose clothes for after and water. Towels, including a small eucalyptus one for afterwards, are supplied, but there are no showers. Hours are weekdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-7 p.m., Saturday 9-5, closed Sunday. It shares its phone number with Sol Sweat, the Kirkwood studio that St. Louis Magazine introduced in 2016 as the city's first infrared sauna studio, and looks like that business carried on under a new name. It is a quiet, unfussy place for a solo or two-person sweat, with no cold plunge on site.
