This is a placeholder listing for Recess, an announced social wellness club that bills itself as Richmond's first. No address or neighborhood has been made public yet, so the map pin sits in downtown Richmond until the founders name a site. What they have shared is the plan: a bathhouse with a traditional dry sauna, a steam room, cold plunges and ice baths, and a soaking pool, joined to a clubhouse they call The Hangout, with a café, yoga, events, drinks and snacks. The pitch is a healthy alternative to the bar: a cozy place to sweat, cool off and talk, with phones put away so conversations can run long. It is not connected to the Recess bathhouse in Montreal, as far as public sources show.
