Salty Spa is a West County wellness spa in an Ellisville strip on Manchester Road, open since 2019 and best known for what it bills as the largest salt cave in Missouri. The heat is an infrared sauna lined with Himalayan salt bricks that seats up to four, and there is a cold plunge next to it, so you can run a proper hot-cold loop between sessions in the salt cave, oxygen bar or Normatec boots. Everything is booked in private time slots. Infrared is $30 for 30 minutes or $45 for 60 for one person, scaling to $80-$100 for four; a 15-minute cold plunge on its own is $23; and the Fire & Ice session that alternates sauna and plunge is $45 for 30 minutes or $60 for an hour solo, $60-$90 for two, with longer group versions for three or four. Packs of 3, 5 and 10 bring the per-visit price down, a 2.5-3+ hour Daily Pass is $120 a person ($135 with the plunge), and the whole spa can be rented for up to six people from $400. The sauna and Fire & Ice are for ages 12 and up, while the salt cave welcomes all ages. Hours are Tuesday to Thursday 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10-6, Sunday 10-4, closed Mondays. It is an easy, low-pressure introduction to contrast therapy, especially for friends, a parent and teen, or a small birthday group that wants the room to themselves.
