Sauna House Raleigh

324 Dupont Cir, Raleigh, NC

Sauna House Raleigh is the downtown Nordic bathhouse on Dupont Circle that opened in March 2026, the North Carolina brand's newest corporate-family location after its Asheville original. Co-owners James Grogan and Kady Brotherton, former Asheville regulars, built it around a community circuit: two traditional Finnish saunas (one kept a little brighter and warmer for conversation), cold plunge pools, a warm pool, cold showers and heated Galanter & Jones lounge benches, with a ring of recessed benches facing each other as the first thing you see when you walk in. A visit is a two-hour Thermal Cycle you move through at your own pace: up to 15-20 minutes in the sauna, a cold rinse, three to five minutes in the plunge, then 10-15 minutes of rest before you go again. Drop-ins were listed at $50, and memberships are pass bundles (4, 8 or 15 visits a month) that roll over for a year and bring member perks such as $10 off a friend's drop-in. You only need a non-sheer swimsuit; towels, private showers and changing rooms, lockers and bath products are provided, and the bathhouse is phone-free and cashless. Bathhouse access is 18+, or 14+ with a legal guardian, and the facility is ADA accessible on a single floor. The room is meant to feel social rather than tucked-away: the owners describe it as a place to meet strangers on the benches between rounds. A 60-minute massage can be paired with the Thermal Cycle, and private rooms are bookable for small groups. Park in the Platform Garage next door and register your car before you go in. The bathhouse is closed on Tuesdays.
