Spa by JW (JW Marriott Nashville)
201 8th Ave S, Nashville, TN
Spa by JW is the in-house spa of the JW Marriott Nashville, the 33-story glass tower at 8th Avenue and Demonbreun on the SoBro side of downtown, a block from the Music City Center and a short walk to the Gulch. The spa sits on the pool level beside the hotel's 10,000-square-foot outdoor deck, and the heat is the familiar luxury-hotel pairing: a dry sauna and a steam room in the locker rooms, showers between them, and a quiet Zen relaxation lounge with champagne and light bites where you wait for your therapist. Five treatment rooms, one of them a couples suite, run a Natura Bissé-led menu of facials, hot-stone and custom massages, body wraps and express 25-minute treatments. This is a treatment-first spa rather than a bathhouse: there is no standalone sauna pass for the public, and the thermal rooms come with a booked service (hotel guests should ask the spa about locker-room access). Non-guests reach it through ResortPass, where a rooftop pool day pass starts at $50 and a 50-minute massage or facial bundled with pool access and the lounge starts at $225; the spa's own site runs a $25 Monday-to-Thursday treatment credit with complimentary valet. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, the rooftop pool runs 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in season, and the spa is adults-only. Book ahead, arrive 30 minutes early to use the sauna and steam, and pack a swimsuit if you are adding the pool. Reviewers rate it around 4.1 on Google and above 9 on ResortPass, with the couples massages, the relaxation room, the robes and slippers and the skyline pool getting most of the praise; the sauna and steam are quiet extras rather than the reason people come.
