The Fox Den Wellness is an outdoor sauna and cold plunge hideaway in the woods of the historic Cross Gables Estate on Old Valley Road in Exton. There is no building to walk into: a barrel sauna and a set of cold plunge tubs sit out among the trees, and sessions move between the heat, the cold and the forest air. Founder Em, a former corporate-finance professional who built the space after her own stretch of burnout, named it for her fox-colored dog, Rue. The core offering is a one-hour guided Community Contrast Therapy Session for $45, or $160 for a four-pack that expires 40 days after purchase; private wellness parties run two hours for up to 12 guests, and the calendar fills out with retreats, workshops and collaborations with local practitioners. Book through the schedule page, arrive at least five minutes early dressed in a swimsuit or athletic wear, skip fragrance and makeup, and bring a towel, a water bottle, flip flops and a change of clothes. To find it, drive down Old Valley Road toward the woods, take the second driveway and park on the grass to the left.
