Wi Spa
2700 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
Wi Spa is the grande dame of Koreatown jimjilbangs — a 24-hour, four-story Korean spa on Wilshire that's been the go-to LA bathhouse for two decades. Admission gets you full day access to the gender-separated bathing floors (with hot and cold soaking pools, Finnish sauna, and scrub tables) plus the co-ed jimjilbang level, where themed heated rooms clad in clay, salt, jade, and charcoal alternate with an ice room, letting you work through a full hot-cold rotation at your own pace. The co-ed floor is family-friendly and social — people sprawl on heated floors in spa-issued shorts-and-tees uniforms, nap in communal rest rooms, or eat Korean cafeteria food between rounds. Staying 24 hours is a well-known LA tradition: sleep overnight on the jimjilbang floor after a late-night bath, wake up, steam again, then head to work. At $40 for unlimited hours, Wi Spa is probably the best wellness value in Los Angeles — a full-service traditional spa experience at less than half the price of the city's boutique studios. Expect it to be busy, unpretentious, and exactly as authentic as Korean spa culture gets in the US.
