Alive and Well Dallas

4205 Buena Vista St Ste 250, Dallas, TX

Alive and Well is an Austin-born integrative health company whose Dallas flagship took over most of the second floor of The Terminal at Katy Trail in May 2024, an 8,500-square-foot space at Fitzhugh and Buena Vista with the Katy Trail running right behind it. It is a functional-medicine clinic, compounding pharmacy and med spa first, but the back of the floor is a proper recovery club: a traditional dry sauna that runs 150-195°F, an infrared sauna lined with red light and full-spectrum panels, cold plunge pools held at 42-47°F, hyperbaric chambers, a domed meditation room and locker rooms that Paper City called luxurious. For the heat and cold you do not need to be a member. Hot-cold contrast sessions run 25-40 minutes and are priced $35-$59 each (or $250 for a ten-pack), and a $59 day pass gets non-members in for the sauna and plunge with staff-guided protocols pitched to how much cold you have done before; CultureMap's 2026 guide picked it as the best-value option in the city for exactly that reason. Most treatments cannot be booked online, so call ahead or walk in and ask at the desk. A $295-a-month unlimited membership sold with O2 Dallas, the yoga and sculpt studio next door in The Terminal, bundles the locker rooms, sauna and plunge with unlimited classes; Alive and Well's own wellness memberships are tiered by how many services you use. Founders Liz and Michael Swail come from the family behind Austin's People's Pharmacy, and the clinic side (diagnostics, IV drips, intramuscular shots, acupuncture, massage, facials) is the reason the place exists. The sauna and plunge are the easiest door in: a morning soak, a smoothie from Rose Cafe downstairs, then onto the trail.
