Art of Recovery
9794 W Peoria Ave #15, Peoria, AZ
Art of Recovery is an owner-run recovery studio in an Old Town Peoria strip on West Peoria Avenue near 99th, founded by Shawn Fairchild, who talks about it on podcasts as a human-optimization space rather than a spa. It is a five-therapy room: infrared sauna, an ice-bath cold plunge, a hot tub for rewarming between rounds, red light panels and Normatec compression boots, decorated with more care than the strip-mall address suggests. The pitch is affordability for consistent use: an unlimited membership has been listed at about $110 a month with the hot tub included, which is low for a studio with both heat and cold on site. Single-visit pricing is not published, and the website is a thin placeholder, so book or ask by phone; the studio has also been listed on ClassPass. Posted hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 to 6 on Friday, 10 to 4 on Saturday, closed Sunday. Bring a swimsuit and a towel. With more than 160 Google reviews, it is one of the better-reviewed small studios in the northwest Valley; reviewers keep coming back to the sauna-and-plunge combination and to the owner personally walking them through their first red light and plunge sessions.
