Cascada Thermal Springs + Hotel
1150 NE Alberta St, Portland, OR
Cascada Thermal Springs + Hotel is the flagship Portland thermaculture destination — a multistory eco-hotel in the Alberta Arts District wrapped around the largest hydrothermal spa in the city. The subterranean Sanctuary level houses Portland's only underground thermal springs, plus vitality pools at varying temperatures, a sauna, steam room, ice plunge, and silent relaxation spaces. Above ground are two additional zones — the Conservatory and the Secret Garden — each with their own pools and lounge formats. Day passes around $90 per visit; hotel guests get bundled access. The format is closer to a luxury European hydrothermal experience than a boutique contrast studio — guests are encouraged to plan a multi-hour visit and slow down across the property's three distinct zones. On-site café, restaurant, and bar plus yoga and fitness classes round out the wellness center. Best fit for a special-occasion spa day, an out-of-town visit, or anyone curious about the Portland thermaculture scene's most ambitious build. Opened January 2025.
