Climate Change Studio

6801 Ridgmar Meadow Rd, Fort Worth, TX

Climate Change Studio is the sauna-and-plunge wing of Westwood Fitness, the 24/7 gym in a converted Ridgmar movie theater on the west side of Fort Worth, and it runs as its own business: no gym membership needed. The heat is deliberately old-school, a cedar Finnish dry sauna with a rock heater and tiered benches held at 160-200°F and low humidity, not infrared and not steam. There is one community sauna that seats about fifteen and a row of six private suites for three or four people each, and the cold side matches it, with individual Revive plunge tubs and a big Caldera community plunge that fits ten, all kept around 48-55°F and filtered between sessions. A community pass is $30 and is first-come, first-served, so you can walk in and move between the big sauna and the shared plunge at your own pace; a private suite is $70 per suite for up to four people, booked in 60-minute windows through the Westwood app or gym.westwood-fitness.com, and the suites fill fast. Ten-session punch cards bring community visits down to $20 each, and an unlimited membership is $175 a month (community-only $99, family add-on $100). The studio suggests 10-20 minutes per sauna round and 2-4 minutes in the cold, and asks for a swimsuit or athletic wear, a towel and a water bottle; entry is app-based through the gym's doors and there is plenty of free parking in the shared lot. With a ten-person plunge and a fifteen-person sauna, this is built for going with friends or a team rather than for a solo ritual, and the gym next door hosts group events on request.
