Degree Wellness N. Druid Hills is a franchise recovery studio in the Briarcliff Road shopping center at North Druid Hills Road, open every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For heat and cold it has three private suites, each with an infrared sauna, a cold plunge, a vitamin C-infused shower and a mini-fridge of chilled water with an aromatherapy compress. You can book the sauna alone (45 minutes), the plunge alone (3-5 minutes), or Contrast Therapy that cycles between the two; separate rooms handle whole-body cryotherapy at about -175°F, red light, a light facial, compression, oxygen and IV drips. Your first session of any service is $25. After that, sessions come through memberships that work across every service: $65 a month for two, $149 for eight, and $245 for unlimited (shown on the site as reduced from $285), with unlimited usable at any Degree location nationwide. Gear is provided, including robes, towels, sandals, socks and shorts for the plunge, so you only need to bring hair and makeup items if you plan to shower. Arrive 10 minutes early; a wellness associate gives a quick tour and talks you through the session. Booking ahead holds your time, but walk-ins are welcome when a suite is free. With only three thermal suites, prime evening slots fill quickly, so book ahead if you want contrast after work; the 7 a.m. weekend opening is a quieter time to try it.
