Esencia Wellness Spa at Eden Roc Miami Beach
4525 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL
Esencia is the 22,000-square-foot spa and fitness floor at Eden Roc, the 1956 Morris Lapidus resort next door to the Fontainebleau on Collins Avenue. Its thermal side is a full hydrotherapy circuit duplicated in the men's and women's locker areas, each with a dry sauna, a steam room, warm hydrotherapy pools, a hot tub and a built-in cold plunge pool, so you can run proper hot-cold rounds without leaving your side. The two sides meet in a shared relaxation lounge that looks out over the resort's pools, and the design leans playful, borrowing its colors and textures from the beach outside. Non-guests aged 18 and up get in with the Spa, Pool & Beach Pass on ResortPass, currently from $100 per adult and at times listed around $140, which bundles the full circuit with the Palladium, Aquatica and main pools, the beach and the fitness center. Treatment bundles (a 50-minute massage plus access) run roughly $170-$190, and treatments carry a 20% service charge collected on site. The spa runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, while the pools and beach close at 5 p.m., so do the beach first and finish in the circuit. For a contrast-therapy day on Mid-Beach this is the straightforward value play among the big resorts: the pass undercuts most neighbors, and the cold plunge pools are part of the circuit rather than an add-on.
