Federal Spa & Restaurant

1203 N Federal Hwy, Hollywood, FL

Federal Spa & Restaurant is a modern bathhouse and Mediterranean restaurant under one roof on Federal Highway in Hollywood. Behind the dining room, past the pool and patio, the spa runs a traditional Russian banya, a Finnish dry sauna, a steam room, a Japanese-style soaking bath, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis around 104°F, and a cold plunge pool held near 40°F, plus cold shock showers and an outdoor pool with its own bar. At check-in you get a robe, spa shoes, towels and a personal locker. Admission has no time limit: $80 Monday to Thursday and $100 Friday to Sunday, so a long, slow afternoon of rounds is the way to get your money's worth. Walk-ins are welcome from noon to 10 p.m. daily, and you can sign the waiver online beforehand to skip the wait at the desk. For something more traditional, book a venik platza (a steam massage with bundles of oak or birch branches) or the Fire & Ice ritual of sauna, platza and plunge, $70 each. The spa and outdoor areas are 16+. A private spa option runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Owner Yevgen Yasenko, originally from Ukraine, built Federal Spa because he felt the older bathhouses in the area had grown dated. Pairing it with a restaurant means you can finish a session with raw-bar plates, tartares or steak without changing venues, and diners who never set foot in the spa are welcome too.
