Freedom Longevity & Wellness LKN

8606 NC-150, Terrell, NC

Freedom Longevity & Wellness is a veteran-owned recovery studio on NC-150 in Terrell, on the quieter west shore of Lake Norman, founded by Ben and Jamie Prince. One room holds eight tools built around a hot-then-cold swing: an infrared sauna and a cold plunge for contrast, plus hyperbaric oxygen, red light, Pulse PEMF, compression boots, a Vibe-X vibration plate and assisted stretching. The pitch is that a membership covers the whole room, not a single machine. The studio is aimed squarely at first-timers, and staff stay in the room: someone sets up every session, shows you the order to go in, how long to stay and how to breathe in the cold, where members usually last three to five minutes. A first visit is $50 with a full walkthrough, and a 14-day reset is $75 for unlimited visits. After that a recovery drop-in is $50 (or $135 for three), and Freedom Unlimited Select runs $129 a month on a 12-month term, $199 on six months or $259 month to month; there are also family, wellness, student and veteran/first-responder plans. Walk-ins are welcome, but book ahead for hyperbaric and assisted stretch. Hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Ben's military service shaped the idea, recovery tools he wished service members had, and veterans get half off their first month of a recovery membership when they sign up in November.
