This is a placeholder listing for Grotto Baths, an announced social bathhouse at 325 NW 28th Street in Wynwood that has not opened to the public yet. The plan is a 7,500 sq ft alcohol-free bathhouse built around a hot-and-cold circuit: a ceremonial sauna running up to about 185°F with guided Aufguss sessions, a full-spectrum infrared sauna, a high-humidity steam room around 104-113°F, cold plunges held at 40-50°F, a warm thermal pool and a saltwater mineral pool. A Sensory Bar & Cafe pours juices, tea and zero-proof drinks instead of cocktails, and a roughly 2,500 sq ft outdoor deck extends the lounge outside. Grotto is being set up as a reservation-only, co-ed space for adults 21 and over. There is no set time limit, though most guests are expected to stay one to two hours, and re-entry is not allowed once you leave. Bathing attire is required (bottoms always, tops optional), phones stay out of the thermal areas and locker rooms, and towels, slippers and toiletries are provided, so bring a swimsuit and a water bottle. Memberships are on sale now, and drop-in visits and day passes are promised for after opening but not yet priced. Wynwood parking is paid and strictly enforced, so plan on a lot or rideshare. The team pitches Grotto as a place to meet friends without a bar tab: founders Nathan Kaplan and Nick Anselmo are joined by Darryl Gibson (formerly of The Standard Spa and Faena Miami Beach) on hospitality and programming, Tender Greens co-founder Erik Oberholtzer on the food, and Stokes Architecture + Design on a Brazilian-modernist interior with site-specific work by Miami artist Emmett Moore. Breathwork, sound baths and run club meetups are planned once the doors open.
