Healing One
560 E Plumb Ln, Reno, NV
Healing One is a two-story, roughly 5,000-square-foot float and wellness center on East Plumb Lane in Midtown-adjacent Reno, built around four float suites that range from fully enclosed pods to open float pools, each holding more than 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. Alongside the floats is a full-spectrum far infrared sauna in its own private room with a private shower, big enough for two, plus massage rooms, an oxygen bar and a rotating roster of energy-healing practitioners. The sauna is booked by appointment for 30 to 60 minutes: $40 for one person, $75 for two, $136 for a four-session pass and $100 a month for a four-session membership. Many guests stack it with a float (from $75 for 30 minutes, $90 for an hour), taking a cool shower in between to bring the body temperature down, and the open float pool is the suggested start for anyone nervous about a closed pod. Drink water before and after. The center runs 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and closes every Wednesday for deep cleaning. Founder Chaz Allen left a career as an electrician to build the place, and it has a distinctly spiritual bent, with reiki, indigenous healing and quantum touch practitioners on site most days and scholarships offered to people who cannot afford treatment. There is no cold plunge here, so this is a heat-and-float stop rather than a contrast-therapy circuit.
