KUR Health Spa
3928 Park Rd, Charlotte, NC
KÚR Health Spa is a small, family-owned wellness spa on Park Road in the Sedgefield/Montford area, run by husband-and-wife team Dave and Renate. Its infrared setup is unusual: instead of a cabin, each private suite has a cushioned reclining pad under telescoping infrared panels, on custom-built benches, so your body heats while your head stays out in cool, breathable room air. Aromatherapy diffusers run in every room at no extra charge, and couples can book a suite with two individual units side by side. A Himalayan salt room, lymphatic drainage massage and bio-electric magnetic pulse therapy complete the menu. An infrared session of up to 60 minutes is $39 and a 30-minute salt room session is $29. Credit packages (9 credits for $159 or 32 for $499, valid three months) can be shared with family and friends, with an infrared session costing two credits. Booking is by phone or text, and the spa is closed Sundays and Mondays. It is a gentle, low-key option for people who find traditional saunas too intense, and a relaxing pick for a couple's afternoon. There is no cold plunge.
