Lake Norman Salt Spa is a small, hushed suite on the second floor of a Torrence Chapel Road office building in Cornelius, built around dry salt therapy and infrared heat. The sauna is a far-infrared cabin in a private room with a lockable door, roomy enough for two; staff usually start it around 120°F and bring it up gradually within a 110-150°F range. Next door are salt rooms with halogenerated dry-salt air and a custom infrared and red-light salt detox bed, and the menu also includes massage, facials and Reiki. There is no cold plunge. Sessions are 30 minutes plus a few minutes to change, booked online through Booker or by phone; mention a guest when you book so the room is set for two. A single sauna session is $50 and $90 for two. Packs of 5, 10 and 20 sessions ($180, $330, $600) work across salt, sauna and the detox bed, and memberships run from $129 a month for four sessions to $199 for unlimited salt, sauna and bed (month to month, 30 days' notice to cancel). Beginners are advised to start with 10-15 minutes. One towel is provided in the sauna; wear as little as you are comfortable with, since the room is private. It is a gentle, quiet option for people who want heat without a crowd, and an easy add-on before a salt session or massage.
