Life Time North Scottsdale is the company's 110,000-square-foot athletic country club at Chauncey Lane and 68th Street, just off the Loop 101 in the Desert Ridge corridor (the address is Phoenix despite the name). Its Revitalize list runs to a cedarwood dry sauna, a eucalyptus steam room plus a second locker-room steam room, an indoor whirlpool and a pool-deck whirlpool, all reached through the adult locker rooms. There is no cold plunge on the club's published amenity list; the nearest Life Time plunge is at the Scottsdale Fashion Square club. Outside the locker rooms are indoor and outdoor lap pools, pickleball and basketball courts, a rock-climbing wall, group fitness studios, a LifeCafe with a poolside bistro and a LifeSpa. This is the easiest Life Time in the Valley for a non-member to try: the club publishes a $50 day pass that covers the sauna, steam room and locker room, the pools, classes, courts and Signature Group Training for one day at this location, and the $50 is credited toward your first month's dues if you join. Adult memberships start at $259 a month, month-to-month with 30 days' notice. Towels, toiletries and keyless lockers are provided, and a locker-room attendant and laundry service are on hand. Doors open at 4 a.m. Monday through Friday and close at midnight Monday through Thursday (11 p.m. Friday); weekends run 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Note that outdoor pool areas can carry a separate fee or be limited to your home club.
