Moki Sauna Allston

267 Western Ave, Boston, MA

Moki Allston is an entirely outdoor sauna village in the side yard of Zone 3, Harvard's event space on Western Ave near the athletic complex. It arrived in October 2025 billed as a month-long pop-up and simply never left; Moki now lists it as a standing location with year-round hours. Two Nordic saunas sit under the open sky, a wood-fired trailer sauna that seats 12 on two tiers and an eight-person electric sauna with three bench levels, and between them is one big communal cold plunge, an outdoor rinse shower, a heated changing tent with lockers, and a fire pit that becomes the social center once the temperature drops. A Social Session is a two-hour reserved window with free run of both saunas and the plunge, shared with whoever else booked; a one-hour option also exists. Drop-in is $59, Core membership is $139 a month for four sessions and Unlimited is $260 with a monthly guest pass, all valid at every Moki village. Reservations are recommended and walk-ins are taken when there is space. Bring a swimsuit and a water bottle; towels and sandals are provided, robes rent for a small fee, and there is nothing indoors beyond the tent, so plan to walk between sauna and plunge in the weather, which is rather the point. Tuesdays are closed and weekday sessions start mid-afternoon; weekends run from morning. Zone 3 has run community sessions here at a reduced rate on Wednesdays. In summer the same yard works as a sun deck between rounds, and both saunas can be rented privately for groups of 8 or 12. Children are welcome with a parent if under 14.
