Moki Sauna Somerville

14 Tyler St, Somerville, MA

Moki's Somerville village is a seasonal, open-air sauna camp in the courtyard outside Aeronaut Brewing on the Somernova campus between Union and Porter squares. It is where Moki went after its first winter on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, opening in January 2025 and returning for the 2025-26 winter, and it runs on the same Nordic rhythm as the permanent villages: a wood-fired sauna and an electric sauna heated to around 190°F, a big communal cold plunge that several people can share at once, a bucket-dump rinse shower, and a fire pit with seating where everyone ends up between rounds. Changing happens in a heated tent and there is a bathroom and shower trailer on site; towels and sandals are handed out, robes rent for a small fee. A Social Session is a two-hour window with full access to the village for $59, bookable in hourly-start slots from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Moki's Unlimited membership ($260 a month) and 10-session packs are valid here. Bring a swimsuit and a water bottle, expect to walk between heat and cold in whatever the weather is doing, and book ahead on weekends; the whole village also rents privately for groups of about 16 to 20. Children under 14 need a parent along. This is a winter venue: past seasons ran from the turn of the year through mid-April and the site closes for the warm months, so check the booking calendar for the current season before you plan a visit.
