Pause Studio Arboretum is the first Carolinas location of the Los Angeles-born Pause recovery chain, tucked into the Arboretum Shopping Center on Providence Road in south Charlotte. The heart of it for sauna people is the contrast suite: a private room with an infrared sauna and its own cold plunge tub, so you can move between heat and cold without sharing the space. Around that sit a long menu of add-ons under one roof, including float tanks filled with Epsom salt water, a whole-body cryotherapy chamber, a full-body LED light bed, Normatec compression, IV drips, vitamin shots and NAD+. Sessions are booked ahead in 30- or 60-minute blocks, either sauna only or as contrast therapy. At opening a 60-minute contrast session was priced at $95, with cryotherapy, LED and vitamin shots around $45 and a float around $75; regulars move to credit-based memberships that run from $79 a month (6 credits) up to $449 (50 credits), where a 30-minute contrast session costs 4 credits and a 60-minute one 6. Higher tiers include a monthly sauna or contrast guest pass, and first-time visitors can get 30% off a first service by signing up online. The studio opened in January 2026 and is locally owned by Katie and Keith Fox. It suits people who want private, quiet contrast therapy with a spa-like finish rather than a communal bathhouse, and it is easy to fold a float or cryo session into the same visit.
