Pause is a Los Angeles recovery-studio brand (Venice, West Hollywood, Brentwood, Studio City, Newport Beach) and this Southlake studio, opened over Memorial Day weekend 2025 by local owners Chris and Erin Kobus in a former CycleBar space on the State Highway 114 frontage, was its first outside California. The look is the brand's clean, dim, LA-modern one, and the core offer is private contrast suites: each has a full-spectrum infrared sauna, a cold plunge in the high 40s with optional water circulation, Bluetooth speakers and its own shower, so a 30- or 60-minute session is yours alone or shared with a plus one. Around the suites are sauna-only rooms, a float tank with 1,000-plus pounds of Epsom salt, a whole-body cryotherapy chamber, an LED light bed, Normatec compression, and an IV and vitamin-shot bar. It is pitched at both first-time plungers, who get breathwork guidance and a 'go at your own pace' room, and regulars who come two or three times a week. The studio sells everything in credits rather than à la carte dollar prices on its site: a 30-minute contrast session is 4 credits, an hour is 6, a float is 3, cryo is 1, and memberships run from $89 a month for 6 credits (Base) to $479 for 50 (VIP), with 25% off single sessions for Core and up and a $49 Plus One add-on to share credits. New clients get 30% off a first service. Plan on 45 or 75 minutes door to door for contrast (15 minutes to shower and dress), arrive ten minutes early, bring water, and note the $30 late-cancel fee inside six hours. Ages 16-17 are welcome with written parental consent. Hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 to 6 on Sunday. The 1512 E Southlake Blvd address that circulates online is wrong; the studio's own page, the Southlake Chamber and Google all put it at 1241 E SH 114, Suite 180, and it was taking bookings in November 2026.
