PLUNJ McKinney

2801 S Stonebridge Dr Ste 111, McKinney, TX

PLUNJ McKinney is a Nordic-style contrast bathhouse in the Shoppes at Stonebridge, the newer retail row at Stonebridge Drive and Eldorado Parkway in west McKinney, and the Utah-born franchise's first Texas studio. It opened on April 30, 2026 with a simple layout: one electric-stove dry sauna run at 175-190°F with about 20% humidity, one cold plunge pool held at 45-50°F that fits four people at a time, a rest station in between, two private bathrooms stocked with toiletries, lockers, and a pot of tea. A full-body red light bed off to the side can be booked on its own or tacked onto a session. You book a 60-minute session on the PLUNJ app or site, pick how many guests are coming, and share the room with a small group, typically six to eight people. The house regimen is 10-15 minutes in the heat, a rinse, 30 seconds to 5 minutes in the plunge, a few minutes of rest, and three rounds if you can; nobody counts, and you can do as many as the hour allows. Bring a swimsuit, a water bottle and flip-flops; towels are provided, clothing is required, and guests aged 14-17 need an adult and a signed waiver. Drop-ins, punch passes and no-contract memberships are sold through the app with pricing set by the studio (call the shop for current numbers), and the whole room can be bought out for $195 an hour (seven guests included, up to ten) or $395 for two hours, which is how bachelor parties and office teams use it. Gift cards run $30 to $200. The tone is social rather than clinical: a four-person plunge means you go in together, and the rest station is where strangers end up talking. It is the only true shared-room sauna-and-plunge in McKinney, the alternative to the private-suite studios nearby for anyone who wants heat with company.
