R5 Wellness is a family-owned recovery studio on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta, tucked behind Cracker Barrel and next door to Wild Wing Cafe at the corner of Windward and GA 400. The five Rs in the name stand for recharge, recover, restore, rejuvenate and rehab, and the space is set up as a calm, spa-clean recovery center: infrared saunas running around 113-150°F, cold plunge tubs held between 37 and 57°F, red light therapy panels, PEMF mats and loops, compression boots and a Vitamin C shower. Sessions are booked through Vagaro or ClassPass, and walk-ins are welcome. You can book the sauna or the plunge on its own, a contrast session that alternates the two, or an all-modalities visit, and sessions run from about 10 minutes to an hour. A first visit is $29 and covers every modality, unlimited memberships start at $149 a month with no credit system, and packages and single sessions are sold on Vagaro. Wear a swimsuit, shorts or a T-shirt, bring flip-flops or water shoes, take off jewelry and lotions, come hydrated, and arrive 15 minutes early on your first visit for paperwork. The owners have lived in the Alpharetta and Milton area since 2002 and coached local youth sports for years, and the studio leans into that crowd with athlete recovery programs, corporate wellness memberships and private team events, plus onsite plunge-and-sauna setups brought to offices.
