Revive Sauna Lounge was a traditional banya on Secrest Shortcut Road in Monroe that brought Eastern European bathhouse rituals to Union County: a banya heat room with venik steaming, a dry sauna, a steam room, a cold plunge and a snow room for cooling down, temperature-controlled showers and a cafe serving Eastern European food. It kept late hours, opening in the evenings on weekdays and running until midnight on weekends, and its one Yelp review praised how clean it was and how good the service was. On February 24, 2026, a fire destroyed the building, equipment, interior build-out and inventory. No one was hurt. The owners said the fire "left us with nothing." The lounge is closed, and they have started a GoFundMe to pay for demolition, new equipment and rebuilding. This listing stays up as Temporarily Closed while Revive works to rebuild.
