Sila Miami
5030 NE 2nd Ave, Unit 405, Miami, FL
Sila is a social wellness club tucked into Upper Buena Vista, the small design-district courtyard off NE 2nd Avenue, built as an outdoor, jungle-like garden in the middle of Miami. Contrast therapy happens under the open sky: a Nomad sauna, which Sila calls the first in Miami, with recommended rounds at 165-185°F, and two cold plunges next to it that Sila puts at 39-55°F (reviewers describe them as properly cold). A handcrafted palapa hosts yoga, Pilates, kettlebell and mobility classes. Indoors there is a recovery studio with red light, a lymphatic drainage suit, a float tank and a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. It works best for people who want heat, cold and movement in one place, and for groups: Sila runs corporate resets and social events in the garden. Sessions are booked through Mindbody. Membership is $299 a month for unlimited sauna, plunge and outdoor classes, or $2,990 a year. Drop-in prices are not published, so check the booking page. Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday; Monday is reserved for private bookings. Street parking and valet are available. The name, pronounced SEE-luh, borrows from several languages (strength in Slavic, pause in Hebrew, discipline in Sanskrit), and guests keep reaching for the same comparison: it feels like a Tulum retreat without leaving the city.
