Spa Castle Texas

1020 Raiford Rd, Carrollton, TX

Spa Castle Texas is the four-story Korean jjimjilbang on Raiford Road in Carrollton that reopened over the July 4, 2026 weekend after a $4.5 million Phase I renovation (it closed in late July 2025 and had targeted a January 1 return). The pools and saunas were rebuilt in-house with equipment imported from Korea, Japan and Germany, and the sauna heaters now run hotter. The ground floor is the wet side: gender-separated nude bathhouses with jetted hydrotherapy plunges, heated soaking pools modeled on Asian and European baths, a cold bath pool, wet and dry saunas and body-scrub tables, plus swimsuit pools indoors (the jetted Aqua Bar pool and the Panorama lounge pool) and out (the Hinoki Bath built from 300-year-old pine, the Mystic Pool waterfall, two Medi Spa jet pools and the new River Rock Foot Bath). Upstairs, Sauna Valley is the co-ed floor: a new Himalayan Salt Sauna under a French stretch ceiling, the Bulgama fire kiln, Gold Pyramid, Loess Tower, Charcoal, Color Therapy, Far Infrared and Roman Bath steam rooms, a Dry Sauna, an Infrared Zone and the Ice Land cold room, with a heated Ondol sleeping floor for naps. Admission is all day with no re-entry and no reservation needed: $75 on Monday through Thursday and $90 on Friday through Sunday and holidays (minors 17 and under $40/$50, infants free), with a buy-one-get-one-half-off deal on Wednesdays and bulk packs that bring the price down to roughly $60-72. A valid ID is required at check-in, and a robe, a small towel and a locker are included; uniforms are no longer provided, so bring a swimsuit and a beach towel for the pools, and expect to be nude in the bath and locker areas, which is the Korean tradition. The spa is barefoot (slippers rent for a fee), outside food is not allowed, and food, drink and treatments are charged to your wristband and settled on the way out. Doors run 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day; the Aqua Bar (21+), Juice Farm, Castle Café, Pool Shack, Maru Sushi and the Korean kitchen Asya keep their own hours inside those. All ages are welcome with minors supervised, which makes weekends lively and family-heavy; weekday afternoons are the quiet soak. Phase II, slated for the second half of 2027, will renovate the on-site One Boutique Hotel (closed for now), an 8,000-square-foot banquet space and a penthouse lounge, and a K-Beauty Lab day spa with Korean glass facials is already in place.
