Spa Land Georgia

2645 N Berkeley Lake Rd NW, Building C, Duluth, GA

Spa Land Georgia is a large modern Korean spa in Duluth, a 60,000-plus square foot building off North Berkeley Lake Road. Downstairs it works like a classic Korean bathhouse, with separate men's and women's floors of hot and cold soaking tubs, steam and dry saunas, scrub tables and grooming stations. Upstairs is the co-ed jjimjilbang, a sequence of mineral rooms: the Jade Sauna (the largest and hottest), a Bulgama clay kiln fired with stones and oak, Himalayan rock salt, Korean oak charcoal, a pyramid-shaped Gold Sauna, two gentler infrared clay and gemstone rooms, and an Ice Room for cooling off. Admission is a walk-in day rate: $38 for ages 12-64 and $28 for kids 2-11 and seniors 65+. Plan on at least three hours to cycle the bath floor, the jjimjilbang and the food court, which serves Korean dishes until 9:30 p.m. on weeknights and 10:30 p.m. on weekends. Body scrubs start at $60 and massages at $110, booked on site during service hours. Unlike some of its Gwinnett neighbours, Spa Land is not open 24 hours. It runs 9 a.m. to midnight Monday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday to Sunday and on holidays, and uses the overnight closure for a full deep clean, so the rooms feel noticeably fresh.
