Sunday Hot Springs

420 W Palmer St, Charlotte, NC

Sunday Hot Springs is a hot-springs-style social bathhouse in South End, opened in 2025 as BathHouse CLT inside the old Charlotte Saw & Knife Co. building on West Palmer Street and renamed that fall. The circuit covers every temperature: a Hot Room dry sauna that runs 195-220°F, a eucalyptus herbal steam room around 110-120°F, a built-in Polar Plunge at 45-55°F, and a 100-103°F saltwater thermal pool for long, chatty soaks, with indoor and outdoor lounges to cool down in. Entry is timed and reserved in advance: a one-hour full-access pass is $55 and a two-hour pass is $80, which most first-timers find is the right length to cycle hot, cold, rinse and rest a few times. Memberships start at $199 for four visits. Complimentary kombucha and locally roasted coffee are poured throughout. Guests must be 18 or older, swimsuits or board shorts are required (no thongs or see-through suits), and you shower before and between amenities. Arrive on time: there is a 15-minute grace period, after which the slot may be moved or forfeited. The bathhouse is closed Mondays and opens at 6 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The owners fell for bathhouse culture in Portland, Oregon, starting at an off-grid Russian banya and later as regulars at a social soaking spa, and moved to Charlotte in 2021 to find nothing like it. The result is pitched as a high-end social club rather than a quiet spa, so expect music, conversation and groups of friends on the benches.
