SweatHouz Chestnut Hill

27 Boylston St Suite 145, Newton, MA

SweatHouz Chestnut Hill sits in the 27 Boylston building at The Street, the open-air shopping strip on Route 9 across from The Shops at Chestnut Hill, and it opened in September 2024 as the first Boston-area SweatHouz built in the brand's all-in-one layout. Each private suite holds a full-spectrum infrared cabin, a cold plunge tub and a vitamin C-infused rainfall shower in one room, with a TV on the wall, dimmable lights and your own music, so a 60-minute session is a true back-and-forth between heat and cold rather than a trip down the hall. The infrared runs about 140°F and can be pushed toward 175°F from the suite panel (regulars say this location runs hotter than most), and the plunge is kept around 48-55°F. It draws Boston College students, Chestnut Hill Reservoir runners and the Brookline-Newton wellness crowd, and it is easy for a first-timer: a $50 intro session, a $59 Double Dose for two visits, then $90 drop-ins, packs from $169 (three) to $799 (twenty) and monthly memberships from Launch at $99 for two sessions to Unlimited at $349 with guest passes, all usable at any SweatHouz. Suites fit two, so a partner can join for a guest fee. Wear whatever you want in the sauna and a swimsuit for the plunge; towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are in the suite and there is free parking at The Street. Doors open at 6 a.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends, and guests under 18 need an adult with them. Staff personalize the suite with a card for marathon runners and birthdays, which comes up constantly in reviews, and the newer same-room design is the one SweatHouz is now retrofitting its older Assembly Row studio to match.
