Switzhouse

1301 Shiloh Rd NW #860, Kennesaw, GA

Switzhouse is a small sauna, cold plunge and salt booth studio in a Shiloh Road office park in Kennesaw, run by owner Ruth Mueller, who grew up in Germany with a weekly family sauna and opened the studio to bring that habit to Cobb County. A session pairs an infrared sauna with chromotherapy lighting (you pick the color), a cold plunge held around 48-50°F and a salt booth that mists pharmaceutical-grade salt, with everything cleaned between bookings. The studio shares its suite with the owner's massage practice. Sessions run about 60 minutes: 30 to 45 minutes of heat, one to five minutes in the plunge and 10 to 15 minutes in the salt booth, and beginners are told to start with 30 seconds of cold. A single session is $50 with a $45 new-client trial; five- and ten-packs bring it to about $42-48, and memberships are $149 for four sessions, $199 for eight or $249 a month unlimited. Booking ahead is required. Wear a swimsuit or athletic shorts; towels are provided, so just bring water. Open daily 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is a quiet, personal alternative to the Atlanta contrast chains for anyone in Kennesaw, Marietta or Acworth who wants a full hot-cold-salt round without driving into town.
