The Club Fort Lauderdale is a men's bathhouse on NW 5th Avenue in downtown Fort Lauderdale, at this address since 2000 and part of the national Club chain. The heat side is a dry sauna, a steam room and a whirlpool, and outside there's a heated pool and sundeck. A full gym, locker rooms, changing rooms and lounges round it out. It's clothing optional and open 24 hours a day, every day. It's for men 18 and over only, and everyone needs a valid government-issued photo ID (no photocopies) to get in. Each visit is a membership plus a locker or private room, with a six-hour limit and no renewals. A non-member pays $39 for a locker visit, which includes a $13 one-time membership. A six-month membership costs $40 and drops the locker rate to $26. Rooms cost more: $50-$65 for non-members, $37-$52 for members. Weekday lockers are $22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and there are half-price nights during the week. There are no refunds, and alcohol, drugs and weapons are strictly banned. It's a good choice if you want a downtown base with an outdoor heated pool alongside the sauna and steam.
