The Longevity Club

163 Rutledge Ave, Charleston, SC

The Longevity Club fills a four-story building on Rutledge Avenue in downtown Charleston: a penthouse reformer Pilates studio, a Technogym and Cybex strength floor, a personal-training level and a wellness floor for massage and bodywork. Its recovery side is small and private. The recovery lounge holds an infrared sauna with chromatherapy and a Zero Gravity massage chair, and a separate plunge tub is kept at 50°F for dips of 90 seconds to three minutes, with red light therapy also on the menu. You do not need a membership to use it. The recovery lounge is booked by the session at $30 for 20 minutes or $50 for 45 minutes ($20 and $40 per person if you share it), a cold plunge is $20, or $45 with a coach guiding you through it, and plunge packs run $95 for five or $180 for ten. Book through the club's schedule page or the Mindbody app, cancel at least 12 hours ahead, and bring swimwear or athletic wear for the plunge. Members get 20% off, can add unlimited lounge and plunge for $120 a month, and annual members get 52 recovery sessions a year. Visitors can also buy a $35 open-gym day pass or a $125 one-week pass. Founder Jennie Brooks, a Charleston native trained in Pilates and holistic health, started in a single penthouse studio here in 2015 and bought the whole building in 2022. The club also runs a Pilates studio in Freshfields Village on Kiawah Island, and partners with downtown hotels such as Zero George and The Dewberry for guest wellness stays.
