The Phoenician Spa

6000 E Camelback Rd, Scottsdale, AZ

The Phoenician Spa is the three-story, 37,000-square-foot spa at The Phoenician, the Luxury Collection resort at the foot of Camelback Mountain, rebuilt from the ground up in 2018 around the myth of the phoenix, with gold accents and art about rebirth. The thermal facilities live inside the gender-specific locker rooms: each has a dry sauna, a steam room, showers, a quiet room and a ten-seat vitality hot tub, and the spa posts a hydrotherapy ritual to run before a treatment (five minutes sauna, five minutes steam, a 30-second cold shower, rest, ten minutes in the vitality tub, a cool rinse). Upstairs is the rooftop pool with eight cabanas and lunch service, the one place the whole party can be together. There is no cold plunge pool, only the cold shower. Getting in without a room is the catch. The resort's own spa page reserves the facilities for guests booking a facial, massage, body treatment or a combined mani-pedi, and a treatment of 50 minutes or more includes the locker-room circuit, rooftop pool and fitness classes; Forbes notes the spa's own day pass is sold to resort guests only. The way around that is ResortPass, which sells a Spa Pass + Spa Pool Access from $150 per adult (plus a 20% service charge collected at check-in) covering sauna, steam, rooftop pool, hot tub, lounges, towels and the fitness center, and treatment bundles with a 50-minute massage or facial. Everything is 18 and over with ID, reservations are required, the spa is cashless, and hours are 9:30 am to 5:30 pm daily. It holds a Forbes Four-Star rating for 2026 and reviewers treat the rooftop pool as the main event; thermal bathers should arrive at least 30 minutes before a treatment to get a full circuit in, and couples should know they will be in separate wet areas until they meet at the pool.
