The Recovery at Yoloha
1750 Signal Point Rd Ste 650, Charleston, SC
The Recovery is the contrast-therapy space at Yoloha Yoga's James Island studio, run by the cork yoga mat and gear brand of the same name. It sits in the same building as the yoga rooms but has its own entrance out back, reached by following the gravel road around. Inside are two four-person Canadian cedar infrared saunas with full-spectrum heat and red light built in, run at about 140°F, two cold plunges set to 45°F and 50°F, two open-air rain showers, and an open-air deck wrapped in tropical plants. Every new guest has to take one onboarding class first; after that you reserve a slot in the Yoloha app and check yourself in. Sessions are sold as drop-ins, session packs and recovery memberships through the app, and recovery members also get two Yoloha towels, a cork-sleeve water bottle, 15% off gear and $10 off workshops. Book ahead, cancel at least two hours out to avoid losing the session (members can cancel any time), and bring swimwear or quick-dry athletic wear, a water bottle and two towels; filtered water, three changing areas and cubbies are on site. The saunas are shared and sized for a handful of people, so it suits yoga regulars and James Island locals who want a quiet, self-guided contrast routine more than a big social bathhouse scene.
